Looking
forward to? Another day off work tomorrow for Veterans Day.I had my 28 week appointment on Friday. All is well, blood pressure is nice and low at 100/62. I had the wonderful 2 hour glucose test that morning as well, so I spent a lot of time doing nothing while waiting for blood draws. I learned that the diabetes association changed the guidelines for gestational diabetes testing recently due to having too many false positives with the 1 hour test (which I had with Miles). They just do a 2 hour test with everybody now, and that gives a better picture of what is going on with my glucose levels. I'll find out the results on Tuesday. I also got to meet the OB at the practice for my VBAC consult. She was very nice, and comes with 27 years of experience. After talking to her about my medical history with Miles, she informed me that I am a good candidate for a VBAC at this point as long as I don't develop full blown pre-eclampsia. I'll be able to continue check ups with my midwife as long as my body cooperates. Very exciting news!
One of our friends had a Halloween party, and Miles got to show off his costume. He had a blast trick or treating on Halloween as well.
Pumpkins - one for Miles and one for baby brother!
