32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks.
How big is baby? 16.7 inches and 3.75 pounds, as big as a large jicana.
Total weight loss/gain? +18 lbs as of 30 week appointment.
Maternity clothes? Regular clothes, yes. Down to 3 shirts I can wear for running that my belly doesn't peek out the bottom!
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep? Decent as long as I can sleep on the couch. I keep trying to go back to bed and end up waking up at least every hour because I'm so uncomfortable.
Pregnancy dreams? Nightmares. Too many.
Best moment of the week? Spending the 4 day weekend with our little family celebrating Thanksgiving.
Miss anything? Sitting on the floor without an instant back ache.
Movement? All the time. Rolls, kicks, jumps - this kid does it all.
Food cravings? Spicy food. I went through a cream cheese kick for about 2 weeks.
Anything make you queasy/sick? I'm afraid to try avocados, but otherwise just eating too much.
Labor signs? Too early. Just a few braxton hicks contractions here and there.
Symptoms? Heartburn when I eat spicy foods. A wonderful tearing sensation that is from my c-section scar tissue.
Belly button in or out? Close to popping out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy.
Any milestones this week? Baby is gaining weight in preparation for his arrival.
Looking forward to? 3 weeks of work before winter break.

Baby is still measuring ahead. All is well at my appointments. Blood pressure was 100/62 last time. No complaints there. I ran a 10k last Sunday (at 31 weeks) and finished in 1:00:53.
Thank you, myEPevents for the picture!
Miles helped me bake pumpkin pies this weekend and had fun at the park when the sun decided to come out on Thanksgiving day.

29 weeks

How far along? 29 weeks.
How big is baby? 15.2-16.7 inches and 2.5-3.8 pounds, as big as a butternut squash.
Total weight loss/gain? +16 lbs as of 28 week appointment.
Maternity clothes? Regular clothes, yes. Really running out of clothes that work for running!
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep? Up and down.
Pregnancy dreams? Weird dreams all the time.
Best moment of the week? Spending the day registering for baby boy with Miles.
Miss anything? Sleeping on my belly.
Movement? All the time. He's far more active than Miles was.
Food cravings? I may or may not have eaten an entire large can of black olives while cooking the other day. I'm also loving really spicy things.
Anything make you queasy/sick? I'm afraid to try avocados, but otherwise just eating too much.
Labor signs? Too early. Just a few braxton hicks contractions here and there.
Symptoms? Heartburn when I eat spicy foods.
Belly button in or out? Pretty much flat. I think it's trying to pop out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy.
Any milestones this week? Baby is gaining fat, which means more energy to wiggle around and kick. He's also starting to hiccup, which is helping develop muscles necessary for breathing.
Looking forward to? Another day off work tomorrow for Veterans Day.

I had my 28 week appointment on Friday. All is well, blood pressure is nice and low at 100/62. I had the wonderful 2 hour glucose test that morning as well, so I spent a lot of time doing nothing while waiting for blood draws. I learned that the diabetes association changed the guidelines for gestational diabetes testing recently due to having too many false positives with the 1 hour test (which I had with Miles). They just do a 2 hour test with everybody now, and that gives a better picture of what is going on with my glucose levels. I'll find out the results on Tuesday. I also got to meet the OB at the practice for my VBAC consult. She was very nice, and comes with 27 years of experience. After talking to her about my medical history with Miles, she informed me that I am a good candidate for a VBAC at this point as long as I don't develop full blown pre-eclampsia. I'll be able to continue check ups with my midwife as long as my body cooperates. Very exciting news!

One of our friends had a Halloween party, and Miles got to show off his costume. He had a blast trick or treating on Halloween as well.

26 weeks

How far along? 26 weeks.
How big is baby? 15 inches and 1.67 pounds, as big as a scallion or head of lettuce.
Total weight loss/gain? +14 lbs as of 25 week appointment.
Maternity clothes? Regular clothes, yes. Running clothes, I wish. My running shirts are getting to be too short!
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep? Insomnia most nights and I just can't get comfortable anymore.
Pregnancy dreams? Weird dreams all the time.
Best moment of the week? Carving pumpkins with the family on Sunday.
Miss anything? Sleeping on my belly.
Movement? All the time. He's able to jump on my bladder and stick his foot/hand under my ribcage at the same time. Talented little guy.
Food cravings? Not really. I still prefer to eat healthy overall.
Anything make you queasy/sick? I'm afraid to try avocados, but otherwise nothing I can think of.
Labor signs? Too early. Just a few braxton hicks contractions here and there.
Symptoms? Crazy growing pains, so much to keep me awake at night!
Belly button in or out? Pretty much flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy.
Any milestones this week? Baby is practicing breathing by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid. The nerves in his ears are better developed, which is probably why he was going crazy when I vacuumed this weekend.
Looking forward to? Celebrating the big 29 with Miles and Jared.

I had an appointment with the midwife last week for my monthly check-up. All is well. Blood pressure was 122/78. Baby is kicking really strong according to the midwife. I also have an overachiever in growth - my belly measured 3 weeks ahead! My next visit is with the OB on November 8th to find out if I'm a candidate for a VBAC. I also have to do the glucose test and get my rhogam shot at that appointment, so I'll be at the office for a while. They only do a 2-hour glucose test at this office, so hopefully I'll pass on the first try this time!

We had a blast carving the pumpkin on Sunday.

Looking forward to? Figuring out what to do with our pumpkins next weekend.

Catching up on pictures!

Things Miles says

-That’s my favorite
-I guess
-It doesn’t work very well
-No thank you, two more minutes (when it's time to do something)
-That’s a heavy hill (…a.k.a. steep hill)
-I’m a dinosaur (said with a growl)
-Just teasing
-Yeah?
-My toes are wrong (after sitting on his knees playing play doh for a long time)
-I can do it all by myself
-I’m trying to
-What does this piece do
-I don’t know
-Why?  (all.the.time.)
-Because I said so (guess where he got that one...)
-What are you doing?
-(in response to finding out he's getting a baby brother): I get a sister next time

Here's our announcement that will be on facebook this week:

Total weight loss/gain? Haven’t checked.
Maternity clothes? Yes, but still wearing a pair of pants from pre-pregnancy plus. No maternity running clothes either.

Pregnancy dreams? A random strange dream every few nights.

Movement? A little every day.
Food cravings? Fruit, hard boiled eggs, pasta.
Anything make you queasy/sick? Avocados, and most meat. Also, melted cheese on anything.
Team green/finding out? Finding out.
Labor signs? Too early.
Symptoms? None.
Belly button in or out? In, but getting shallower.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy.
Any milestones this week? Bones and nerves in baby’s ears are developed enough to function, so baby can hear sounds from inside the belly and the outside world.
Looking forward to? Slowly going back to work this week, just for meetings for the most part. It just means I’m that much closer to the due date.
We went to a wedding, so I needed a picture with my little man too!

He was definitely the best dressed at the wedding. The wedding was for a playgroup friend, so they had a bouncy house for all the kids. Miles had a blast, and spent most of the evening jumping!
